ACCOMMODATION AT THE ISLE OF COLL HALF MARATHON

Accommodation on Coll is sparse and often fully booked in the high season. Mid August can be a bit quieter as the Scottish schools return earlier than south of the border. Unless you wish to camp, you are advised to book your accommodation early.

Special camping for this event is allowed next to the village hall (finish line) or behind the Coll Hotel. Both are free and wild and in addition to the excellent campsite at Uig, in the west of the island (01879 374). Project Trust's facilities at Ballyhaugh will be available as posh bunk house type accommodation (01879 230444).

No matter where you end up, transport will be found to get you about.
